Your forms just got more secure with HeyForm

The observant may have noticed that from today onwards we load all forms, regardless of the account plan, through an encrypted connection.

This is mainly visible in the fact that the URL of your forms now starts with HTTPS instead of HTTP as before.

What is SSL, and why is it so good for my forms?

SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is a technology that allows the information entered into your forms to be encrypted as it is sent from your browser to HeyForm. It prevents an unauthorized person from intercepting the contents of the transmission while it is being sent to HeyForm.

This technology is common and is used exclusively by banks, government agencies, and other operators handling sensitive information on the Internet.

I link to forms from my website and in emails. Do I need to do anything?

You do not need to take any action at all with this update. Previous links starting with HTTP still work fine. The visitor is redirected to the secure version of the form when the visit starts.

Feel free to contact our great support team if you have any questions about SSL or anything else related to HeyForm.
